Andreas develops lighting concepts which depend on the nature of the performances: from purely still pictures to interactive installations, from illusionary space to permanently transforming ambience, from flashes of color to pulsating light. Andreas is known for his precise use of strange and highly personal colors: His preferred filters — often traveling with him — are #650 e-colour Industry Sodium, #004 Medium Bastard Amber, #795 Magical Magenta, L/# White Flame Green, L/#241 Fluorescent 5700Kelvin, L/#238 CSI to Tungsten, #502 Half New Colour Blue, or simply no color at all. His work with zeitkratzer is extremely flexible and Andreas always develops new approaches for new music: from conventional theater to fluorescent and neon light, from LED and HMI moving head sources, scanners, and lasers to out-of-context industrial or even household lamps. His light design become part of the music.
